Food

The estimates for the number of those facing food insecurity in 2020 have been revised upwards and now suggest that the number may reach 23 million during the winter season (November-March).
In the 2021 Global Hunger Index, Afghanistan was already ranked 103 out of the 116 most food-insecure countries. On average, food consumption absorbed more than 80 percent of a household’s income, and the decline in incomes, fast-rising prices for wheat and cooking oil, among others, and the expected severe drought are bound to adversely affect food security further.*

Omaid Al Hasanat Charitable Organization seeks to provide assistance to poor and needy families through seasonal and non-seasonal projects with a focus on the segment of families the poorest and weakest in Afghan society.

And it will also take care of sponsoring orphans and other eligible groups and will pay them dues on a permanent basis, to contribute to their self-development and fill their needs.

 Our Goal

The program aims to reduce poverty, provide periodic aid and guarantees, spread the spirit of solidarity among the members of society and contribute to alleviating the needy, poor families and vulnerable groups, through seasonal projects.
