Project Title: Construction of Water Supply Network with Solar Energy

The village of Mandiqoul is one of the largest villages in the district of Koh Safi; Parwan Province located 30 km north of the capital from the main road leading to Kabul from (Mahipar).
It is inhabited by about 400 families; most of its residents live on the two edges of the valley, and work in agriculture and animal herding.
The village suffers from carrying water for drinking and domestic use from the springs located at the bottom of the valley, as it is difficult for them to carry water from the bottom of the village on their backs and heads on daily basis and take it to the top of the village, they cross a distance of (500) to (600) meters on a daily basis, and this is a very hard work for the people of the village.
The Omaid Al Hasanat Charitable Organization planned the construction of four large concrete tanks, among them one will be the central one, to which water is carried by solar energy from the bottom of the springs, and then it is distributed to the rest of the three tanks without power.
There are several taps installed around each closet for the benefit of the houses that surround it with a distance of twenty square meters instead of hundreds of meters.
About (3000) meters of plastic pipe, and a wide range of plumbing components, plumbing tools, iron pipes and other plumbing supplies are used in this project. In addition, four closed ground cement tanks were constructed for water with strong concrete, and ten water taps installed in the village.
Estimated Budget & Duration
The estimated budget for this project (30,000) thirty thousand dollars, and the project will be completed in three phases, each phase taking two months of time, and thus the project will be completed within six months.
Our goal
The project aims to contribute to the emergency response in the field of water and environmental sanitation for the people of the village of (Mandiqoul) in the northern province of Parwan. The project is also concerned with spreading awareness and health education and promoting hygiene in order to secure a healthy environment free of diseases.
